grapes and prunes in the desert...

females and jobs: is there a inverse correlation between age and job prospects ? i was just informed that if you are not young/supple/fresh then your chances of getting a job as a female in kuwait were pretty meager regardless of your abilities. i thought that as one progressed in their career they would logically add value to themselves (as well as a zero or two to their paychecks!). add one more gripe about the local job market!

  • I thought that theory applied to everywhere in the World, not just Kuwait? Non ?

  • well my point of reference is more developed job markets where there is a perceived value to people's innate abilities and experience (the intellectual contribution) vs. the outward appearance. it would be naive to assume looks don't have an impact but that impact tends to diminish with experience - something i don't see happening here. is it because some people live their lives by their physical appearance?
