kuwait. aided by american transparency at its finest...

alsha3ab weeklly, the oft-controversial weekly of kuwaiti politics, publish in its latest issue highlights of a meeting between the editor-in-chief of alrai al aam newspaper and members of congress visiting kuwait. the quotes were apparently retrieved from a broadcast on C-SPAN (the US congress cable channel) with extremely bold assertions and reflections on kuwaiti politics and current affairs.

needless to say, the issue was sold out in record time and it was hard to get a copy but resourceful people always know where to find things.

now the question is, why do people that benefit from the status quo and political magnanimity bite the hands that feed them? syriana comes to mind again...

update:

looks like all hell's breaking loose. the videos are already online here. more bloggers espousing hate here.

what the !@$@!

why is boingboing.net blocked in kuwait?? when will this censorship insanity ever stop. granted boingboing sometimes has offensive content but haven't the censors watched LBC or whatever recently? what's her name - mary? haifa? ruby? more like the playboy channel but no one's blocking it right?

muggy waters

what nice weather we're having today... yeah, right. more like "what tha @#$%^$%^ is that!"

well another day in idyllic kuwait town. honestly the weather had potential but there was something there. you could just sense it going for your guts and ripping them out while at the same time caressing your lips. shit maybe it was a flyby ho. we get some of those these days it seems.

i love mornings!

i love mornings.. kuwait absolutely dazzles on a crisp april morning at 6am. the air is clean and cool, the streets are quiet and the people are somewhat agreeable ( a rare sight these days). makes me wonder why more people don't enjoy 'morning bliss'....
